“I don’t need another editor. I need my 40-minute screen share to be 1.5x and still sound like me — on my laptop, offline.”
— The job ClipTempo is built for

If you’ve felt this, you’re the customer

Tempo is a one-job problem. Most tools make it a project — or an upload.

😤 “I just need this 47-minute lesson at 1.5x. Why is that a whole project?”

You open the big editor, wait for import, hunt the speed control, queue a render — all so students finish a module they would have abandoned at full length. One job. Too many steps.

😫 “Upload failed at 82%. Again.”

Course videos are huge. Free online tools cap size, throttle quality, or stamp a watermark on your paid curriculum. You’re not making a meme. You’re shipping a product.

🤯 “I will not put client training or paid course files on a random website.”

Your IP is the product. Browser speed changers mean someone else’s server. That’s a hard no for client work, corporate training, and closed courses.

😰 “Another $9–16 a month for one feature I’m already paying suites for.”

You already stack tools. You don’t want a new subscription to change tempo. You want a small utility that stays on the machine and stays bought.

How ClipTempo works

Three steps. Files never leave your computer.

1

Drop your MP4

One lesson or a queue of modules. Files stay on your computer.

2

Set the tempo

Course-friendly 1.25x, demo 1.5x–2x, or custom speed. Keep pitch on so you still sound like you.

3

Export beside the source

New safe filename. Original untouched. Cancel anytime. Reveal in Finder or Explorer.

What changes when tempo is easy

Features are boring. Outcomes ship courses.

Ship tighter lessons without a second edit day

Long screen shares become publish-ready modules in minutes — not after another full timeline pass. Students finish more; you re-record less.

Built for “40-minute capture → 1.25x–1.5x publish file,” not multi-track Hollywood timelines.

Keep sensitive course IP on your machine

Nothing uploads. Nothing sits on a third-party encoder. Client workshops, internal training, and paid curricula never leave your disk.

Local processing on Windows and macOS — the privacy story creators want for large private files.

Sound like yourself at 1.5x

Pitch preserve is the default path so “faster” doesn’t mean “cartoon.” Coding demos and talking-head lessons stay listenable.

Pitch preserve is built in — natural speech at higher speeds, not chipmunk audio.

Made for people who ship lessons weekly

If you only needed a timeline, you’d open an editor. You needed tempo.

Course creators

Turn hour-long captures into tighter modules students actually finish.

Coding educators

Speed demos without re-recording. Keep narration clear with pitch preserve.

YouTube tutors

Ship alternate-pace versions of the same recording without a second project.

Frequently asked questions

When can I download ClipTempo?

We’re preparing the release for Mac and Windows. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when installers are available. There is no public download yet.

Can’t I just use a free online speed tool?

Yes — if the file is small, you’re fine with accounts or watermarks, and you’re okay uploading course IP. ClipTempo is for the other case: large lessons, private material, no watermark, and a file that stays on your machine.

Is this another CapCut / full video editor?

No. ClipTempo does one job well: change playback speed and export an MP4. No multi-track timeline, no social template maze. If you need color grade and titles, keep your editor. If you need tempo, open ClipTempo.

Will my voice sound weird at 1.5x?

Pitch preserve is available (and the default path for natural speech) so faster playback doesn’t automatically mean chipmunk audio. You’ll be able to preview that when the app ships.

Do you support Windows and Mac?

Yes — ClipTempo is built for both Mac and Windows.

What happens to my original file?

We never overwrite it. Export writes a new file (safe name) next to the source or to a folder you choose. Cancel stops the run and cleans partials.

What happens when I join the waitlist?

We save your email and platform preference (macOS, Windows, or both), then notify you when ClipTempo is ready to download. No payment required to join.

Stop fighting the timeline for a speed change.

Every week you re-open a full editor (or re-upload a 1 GB lesson) for tempo, you burn time you could spend shipping the next module. Join the waitlist — we’ll tell you when installers land.
